Patricia Moore worked as a designer and was frustrated that products/designs did not work for all potential consumers. In her thirties, she embarked on a journey to spend time in 100 cities, projecting the image of a woman in her 80s. For first-hand experience in learning about the needs of individuals for design adaptation, she dressed as various older women using prosthetics that would simulate a limitation or disability.
