We Have a Bill Author!

Roughly 150 OTs, OTAs and OT Students participated in OT Day at the Capitol. Thank you for your commitment to protecting the OT profession and making it even better!

We're pleased to report that we had exceptional success this year. Senator Joan Ballweg contacted our office, right after her meeting, and offered to author the OT Compact legislation. This is fantastic news! The compact would allow OTs to obtain a "compact license" that makes it easier to practice across state lines. Our thanks to all who participated in OT Day, and to our members who worked hard on this issue.

We also have legislators interested in telehealth parity, requiring insurance companies to pay equally for telehealth appointments. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

Your voice matters! Thanks for supporting WOTA's efforts to protect OT in Wisconsin!
