With the state of the world as it is today, caregivers, healthcare professionals and students in those fields are taking care of others in stressful, ever-changing environments. But, how are you doing with taking care of yourself and making yourself a priority? Sarah Clemons-Wagner, Behavioral Health OT and owner of Functional Consultation will give some tips, strategies and recommendations for improved self-care and resiliency during this continuing education webinar. You will earn 1.5 CEUs for attending.

Objectives for the course:

1.   Participant will understand the impact of stress on individual health, performance at work and interpersonal relationships.

2.   Participant will be able to state understanding of habit formation and why it is difficult to change behaviors.

3.   Participant will be able to learn and integrate effective coping strategies to manage stress, especially during the current pandemic.

About the Presenter: 

Sarah Clemons-Wagner is an Occupational Therapist that has worked in behavioral health for over 15 years. She has worked in a variety of mental health settings including a mental health group home, community treatment with the PACT program, with individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health issues in Burlington, Vermont at a community health center, and most recently as the Lead Occupational Therapist in Inpatient Behavioral Health for SSM-St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. Sarah presented at the WOTA conference in 2017 on treatment of personality disorders.  She is currently the owner of Functional Consultation, a consultation company for Occupational Therapy and mental health training and continuing education.
