  This self-paced Fieldwork Educators Training Course was developed in collaboration with Fieldwork Educators and Academic Fieldwork Coordinators to support and enhance supervision of OT and OTA fieldwork students. 

  
  

  It is open for registration anytime and can be completed at your own time. 

   

  After completion of this training, the Fieldwork Educator will demonstrate understanding of:

  • supervisory styles, 
  • theory and practice, 
  • effective feedback techniques, 
  • conflict management tools, 
  • student well-being, 
  • cultural humility, 
  • resources related to fieldwork supervision

  Join our November WOTA Advocacy gathering in a conversation with Ginny Stoffel, WOTA member since 1977, past WOTA board member (1980's and 1990's), past AOTA VP and President (2009-2016), and current AOTA/United States delegate to the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) (2016-2027) to talk about the personal path towards making advocacy central to your identity as an occupational therapy practitioner. Be the change you seek- never walk away from an opportunity to contribute to a better world, a better profession, a healthier and more just society. These are the impacts I never dreamed I'd have a hand in shaping, and when I reflect on all of the people I've learned with and from, been inspired by, and the opportunities ahead of us, I don't want to slow down.

  When- Tuesday, November 18th, 2025

  Where- Embassy Suites Madison and the Capitol

  Agenda- 10:00-10:30am- Arrive

  10:30-12:30pm- Speakers and Lunch

  12:30-1:30pm- Join with PT practitioners and walk to the Capitol

  1:30- 3:30pm- Meetings with Legislators

  3:30pm- Leave

  WHY: Join WOTA and other OT Practitioners, Students, and Educators for this important lobbying effort. Participants will first meet as a group at the Embassy Suites to learn from current legislators regarding lobbying efforts. Then we will combine with PT practitioners to meet with state legislators to not only highlight the value of the OT profession but also discuss the Prior Auth Bill.
